There is no one-size-fits-all approach to sustainability, and our integrated design approach allows us to deliver social and environmental sustainability outcomes with maximum efficiency. From masterplanning to designing communities and buildings, our design process responds to particular natural, cultural and economic circumstances and the specific opportunities and challenges presented by each unique project.
We are continually improving our collective skills and knowledge when it comes to sustainable design and innovation, applying this knowledge in a way that benefits our clients through better performing buildings, and spaces that have lasting value. Evidence-based and new research conducted by Boyes Rees Futures, in partnership with leading industry thinkers, is regularly contributing to industry knowledge of sustainable communities and the built environment.
We have developed significant experience across the BREEAM sustainability rating systems and client bespoke systems, and have delivered numerous BREEAM certified design projects across the UK. As a result, we are continually recognised for our award winning buildings and environmental sustainability credentials. To assist our clients in the management of environmental impacts we have also developed an Environmental Management System (EMS) certified to international standard ISO14001.
Our environmental methodology provides clients with a process to maximise opportunities, identify risks and minimise impacts – and we apply this methodology back in our studios to continuously improve environmental performance and energy efficiencies and create healthier working environments.
